Comic book artist Scott Cohn has been keeping busy over the last year. With COVID bringing everything to a standstill for months, fans have been pretty starved for cool and engaging content. His 25-year career includes work for DC Comics, Marvel, and even Netflix. Now, Scott Cohn entertains fans old and new with his signature #RedesignWednesday!
The basic premise of #RedesignWednesday is pretty simple. Scott takes a classic character and adds his own signature flair to their iconic design.

When asked why he started this weekly challenge, Cohn said:
I work in comics/illustration/storyboards. #RedesignWednesday was born out of the crashing industries in comics, commercials, film, and possibly anything else requiring art when Covid hit in March ‘20. At the time, we had no idea how the pandemic would go, or how badly we would be affected, and specifically for me, artists. So I felt I needed to have consistent weekly content on my social media platforms, and see what doors if any might open from it. Up until this past February due to deadlines, I had only missed 2 or 3 weeks for the entire year while luckily enough, working most of the time.”
As for the reception, there’s a reason why he’s been able to keep #RedesignWednesday up this long:
The challenge for me is starting them Tuesday on purpose so I get the ideas out quickly without laboring over them in an exercise to think/work quickly. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. I did get one ‘meh’ though, ha. Can’t please everyone!”
If you’re looking for more of Scott Cohn’s work as an artist outside of #RedesignWednesday, you won’t have to look too hard. He’s currently working as a game artist for Marvel Crisis Protocol. And he’s featured as a packaging artist for Hasbro’s Star Wars line of toys. He’s also working with writer Joe Reiter on an upcoming creator-owned comic called Paradyme 1.0.
