There was talk about a showcase featuring the next Street Fighter game and Resident Evil 4 Remake. While we don’t know if today’s State of Play was the showcase that rumors said, we still got some fantastic footage from the next Resident Evil game. In it, we were able to see some iconic locations from the game. We got a glimpse at the castle, which looks even creepier this time around, and some bits and pieces of the island. However, the big news is that Resident Evil 4 Remake just confirmed that Mercenaries is coming to the game, and a Special Demo is on the way too.
Resident Evil 4 Remake will include the highly-acclaimed Mercenaries Mode
People are beyond excited with everything that was announced today at the State of Play. While there were some awesome indie games and AAA titles, Resident Evil fans are beyond the moon right now. We have confirmation of the fan-favorite Mercenaries mode coming to Resident Evil4 Remake. We don’t know if it’ll arrive at launch, but here’s hoping it does. Besides that, there might also be a Special Demo of the Resident Evil 4 Remake in the future.

There is still no official date for the Special Demo of the Resident Evil 4 Remake, but we imagine it’ll be in the coming weeks. If it’s anything similar to Village, we might expect it to be PS5-exclusive. This will surely make some players sad, but at least some people will be able to play bits of the game before it gets here. All in all, this State of Play was fantastic. Mercenaries mode is coming to Resident Evil 4 Remake, and the castle looks as terrifying as we’d hoped. Now, all we can do is wait for this game’s release date, which is one of the biggest titles of March 2023.
