This has been a sad week for games. Oddly enough, the week has just begun. Not long ago, we got rumors about Rumbleverse potentially closing its doors. Now, there’s another game that is also sailing to the sunset, never to return. Respawn Entertainment has announced that its Apex Legends Mobile game will shut down. While some people are not surprised, others are sad about this. As we’ve said before, the market is full of other games that have proven to be more successful. Games like Fortnite, with its weekly updates and constant collaborations, and even Call of Duty despite its hackers. It would seem that Apex Legends didn’t hit the mark on mobile platforms.
Apex Legends Mobile will be shutting down on May 1st, 2023
With an official announcement, Respawn Entertainment just announced that Apex Legends Mobile will be shutting down on May 1st. This is quite sad for those who have been playing the game, but it is also not that surprising. As we mentioned, Apex Legends Mobile isn’t the biggest game of the genre right now. There are many more out there, and they offer many more things in those other titles.

EA brings Revenant to Apex Legends Mobile
Still, seeing a game closing down is never a good sign, especially with less than a year out there. On the other hand, the original Apex Legends keeps growing with many new updates and things coming to the game. While it might not reach the heights that Fortnite has established, it is still a pretty solid title that many people enjoy. So, while the news about Apex Legends Mobile shutting down is sad, we still have another game to enjoy out there. So, in the meantime, you can still play this title before its official shutdown in May, and you can jump ship to the other Apex Legends game if you want to.
