Sony has long since relied upon the exclusive platform experience that drives users to the platform for unique and new experiences. While the gaming industry, as a whole, has recognized PC more and more, PlayStation is also taking note. Yet, in terms of ports, there is still a long way to go for PC users looking to play exclusive PS4 and PS5 games. While Sony released Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted, and God of War, many fans are looking for more exclusives. While elusive titles like Insomniac’s Spider-Man and FromSoftware’s Bloodborne might not make it to PC, there are plenty of other games. Along with the Nvidia Geforce Now leak that indicated many publishers’ upcoming plans, Sony had a few games listed there. Returnal, the rising new PS5 IP by Housemarque, was listed to launch on PC sometime this year. A new SteamDB page is listing Returnal’s game mechanics under the codename Oregon.

Why Is The SteamDB Page Listing Returnal Under Codename Oregon?
While Returnal has been released for over a year, the timing would be perfect for a PC release on Steam. Yet, Sony has remained a constant stranglehold over the current generation’s offerings and keeping them exclusively on their platform. Yet, many other developers have been taking their titles to PC, and Sony is seeing the massive potential possible doing so. The interesting detail is, of course, the codename Oregon that’s covering up Returnal’s Steam release. While the name may be a placeholder, the actual contents of the release are interesting. Notably, the SteamDB page lists the latest iteration of Returnal with co-op included as well. While the details are still unconfirmed, the new release will more than likely come with a new patch, as well, for the new platform and players to come.
