Rise of the Tomb Raider is on sale for those of you who haven’t purchased it and are looking to score a good deal.  Considering that the holidays will soon be coming to a close, it might be a good idea to snag the game while you can!

This week, Amazon Inc. price cut Square Enix Co Ltd.’s Rise of the Tomb Raider for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One to under $40 in a new sales initiative. Currently, Rise of the Tomb Raider holds a discount price of $39.88, 34 percent off the $59.99 MSRP. That’s a pretty significant drop in price, so definitely put it on your list if you are comparing prices with other retailers!

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider has done well on the market according to Microsoft, but sales have been down in comparison to other titles such as Fallout 4 and Halo 5. Many attribute this to the fact that Rise of the Tomb Raider is currently an Xbox One exclusive.  Nevertheless, considering the PC release is coming in January, and Xbox One is dropping the price on the title, we should see sales go up.

Rise of the Tomb Raider has been a commercial success, garnering positive reviews throughout the community. Our own Adam Dyche gave the game a glowing review, which you can read here.  He gave it a rating of “Perfection” and had this to say:

“Lara Croft is back and she’s here to stay. Lara has matured and become the Tomb Raider we recognize. With wonderful level design, heaps of activities and an engaging story, Rise of The Tomb Raider is a joy to play.”  Check out his full review to see what made it “perfect.”

Do you plan to head over to Amazon and check it out?  Or, do you already own it?  Comment below or on our Facebook or Twitter page and let us know what you think of this game!  Stay tuned for more details!

I believe that games are an important form of entertainment, and that they can uplift and inspire millions of people around the world. I love JRPGs, and dabble in many other genres, especially MOBAs.
