With the year having just begun, so many new indie titles are on the horizon. Yet, even with new games coming out, there are plenty of updates to enjoy elsewhere. Hopoo Games’ very own Risk of Rain 2 is one such title that keeps getting better with each new update. With the anticipated anniversary update launch on PC, there is plenty to come for other versions. With lots of new content to explore and discover in the recent update, fans on console versions have long waited to hear an update. As progress on these versions usually takes quite some time, it seems that Hopoo Games are gearing up for an update. Announced on their Twitter page, the anniversary update will head to Risk of Rain 2 on console later this year in June.

What Else is Coming to Risk of Rain 2
The exciting confirmation of console updates does come with some interesting expectations. The update will also bring over the previously known Stadia exclusive stage, Sundered Grove, to all consoles. The update also includes the revamped final stage, the Bandit survivor, and Grandparent boss. While the team is more than likely still at work on the next paid content updates, the sign of more development is important. Adapting to work from home has proved to work well for the Risk of Rain 2 team. Producing multiple content updates over 2020 was a massive achievement. For a small studio like Hopoo Games, it’s astounding for them to continuously deliver on deadlines. With more to come and interesting speculation on what that DLC will look like is still unknown. Even though details are still sparse on what the full update will look like, Hopoo Games is sure to reveal more in the coming future.
