About the adventure
Road 96 takes place in the fictional country of Petria. The regime has gotten out of control and leaves the player with no choice but to flee. Hitchhike across the country, meeting memorable characters and discovering secrets along the way. The game features action and survival elements as well.
Road 96 is one of a kind in that it features a procedurally generated narrative. Choices you make change the story, change the characters, and change the world around you. The game boasts that there are thousands of different outcomes. At any rate, the constantly evolving story takes inspiration from the likes of Tarantino, the Coen brothers, and Bong Joon-ho.
Additionally, the game features a soundtrack full of 90s classics. So, if you’re a fan of the music of that decade, you’re in for a treat.
Your PlayStation or Xbox is now a virtual hitchhiking machine
Yoan Fanise had this to say in regards to Road 96 coming to consoles.
It’s really exciting to think that console players will soon be able to take their first steps on the emotional journey as they make a break for freedom.
The game was released on PC last August with very positive reviews. Console players have been patiently waiting for the chance to stick their thumbs out on the virtual highway, and they won’t have to wait much longer. Road 96 comes to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X and S on April 14th.
