It feels like just yesterday we lost legendary actor and comedian Robin Williams. The man was truly a treasure, featuring in such great films as Mrs. Doubtfire, Good Will Hunting, and voice acting in 1992’s Aladdin animated film. Watching his works as a kid was a joy, and hearing about his passing was as sad as his works were amazing. It seems that his legacy does live on though, as Vertical Entertainment wants to look back on his life. Robin’s Wish releases September 1st in physical and digital formats, giving us a new look into the life of Robin Williams. You can find the trailer below.

Robin’s Wish’s trailer specifically looks into the final days of his life, speaking to his family about him and his rare neurodegenerative disorder. Specifically, the trailer speaks to his now widow Susan Schneider Williams, along with friends Shawn Levy, John R. Montgomery, and David E. Kelley. Each of them provides interesting perspectives into Robin Williams’ life, along with his battle with Lewy Body Dementia, the aforementioned neurodegenerative disease. The trailer also included clips of interviews and other videos from Robin himself, helping to go with their interviews.
During the trailer, Susan Schneider Williams had the following to say of his disease:
Armed with the name of a brain disease I’d never heard of, I set out on a mission to understand it, and that led me down my unchosen path of advocacy. With invaluable help from leading medical experts, I saw that what Robin and I had gone through, finally made sense — our experience matched up with the science. And what I discovered along the way was bigger than me, and bigger than Robin. The full story was revealed during the making of this film and it holds the truth that Robin and I had been searching for.”
