It has been announced by Rockstar Games, the developers of both Red Dead Online and GTA Online, that they will no longer be providing Amazon Prime Gaming benefits for GTA and Red Dead Online. Amazon prime subscribers have enjoyed exclusive benefits which came with the membership, but unfortunately, those benefits are coming close to an end.Â
Amazon Prime Benefits for Red Dead and GTA Online Being Canceled
Gamers who have been enjoying Amazon Prime Gaming benefits on GTA and Red Dead Online, it’s time to say goodbye. Despite being a decade old, GTA Online continues to remain one of the most popular multiplayer titles, so it’s no surprise that the decision to remove Amazon Prime Gaming benefits was met with severe scrutiny and disappointment.
Players have been able to connect their Amazon Prime and Rockstar Games accounts to avail exclusive Prime Gaming Benefits for a long time. These benefits include monthly bonuses such as in-game currency, expensive properties, and other upgrades. One final benefit for GTA Online is the $125k in-game bonus for players that log in from March 30 to March 31.Â
For Red Dead Online, Rockstar will allow players to use some additional benefits – 5 Gold Bars, The Howl Emote, A Select Colorway of the Buckley Hat, and A Select Colorway of the Rivera Hooded Tunic – as of April 4.
The decision to discontinue GTA and Red Dead Online Prime Gaming Benefits caught subscribers off-guard. The program also offered a “welcome monthly bonus” specifically for new players. Some rumors also suggest that Rockstar Games is prepping for the release of GTA 6. However, no official statement to confirm this has been released.
Despite the Prime Gaming Benefits coming to an end, Rockstar continues to deliver 2 significant patches per year for Red Dead Online.Â
