Guys, get ready to soar high as a bird. Oh, wait, no as a plane. No, that’s not it. It’s Superman!
While the Dark Knight already got his time to shine, this time, his best friend might be the one to swoop in to save the day. In the last day of May, Game Informer editor, Andrew Reiner, hinted his Twitter followers that next month’s GameInformer’s cover “…looks very very very very cool.” A fan jokingly responded with an illustration of Superman, to which Reiner responded: “He needs a new cape.” What makes us beg the question is the fact that Reiner has not followed up the response with a denial neither has he stated flat out confirm that it will indeed be July’s cover.
There have been various rumors that Rocksteady’s next comic book game would focus on the Man of Steel. If you have played the Arkham installments, then you know hints about Superman are hidden in-game. The rumors and hints have not been as strong until this point. In fact, with E3 right around the corner, it would be a great time to start teasing the game. If at least a cinematic trailer, something for fans hope (after all the S stands for hope). If Rocksteady indeed unveils the game, the latter could potentially be showcased at Microsoft’s press conference which is set to start at 4:00 p.m. EST. However, according to IGN, Sony has three games it will unveil before E3 2018, although it is highly unlikely given the secrecy and timing of the hints of this potential game.
