Rogue Company is becoming popular among cross-platform players. And while it seems repetitive, it takes a different approach to its multiplayer. Two teams of four must battle it out to take control of the map. When one team possesses certain points longer, or one group is wiped out, the surviving team wins. Hi-Rez Studios, developers of the game, have chosen to add a few new things to spice it up. The latest addition comes in the form of the frosty Arctic Shield update, now available for all players!
Rogue Company Gets New Map and Rogue
You can look forward to running through maps as the Rogue Sigrid. She is mainly a defensive character, who uses a riot shield. While she may sound slow, her skills make up for it. In addition to her shield, she can also stick people with Syntax grenades or bash weak enemies. Sigrid is also immune to any slowing tactics.
Here are some things to look forward to in this update:
New Map: Glacier – Fight across the surface and interior of ‘the Domain’, a state-of-the-art ship. It has been taken over by Jackal in the Arctic. You and the rest of Rogue Company must work to take it back from him.
New In-Game Event: The Frigid Haul – Unlock 12 rewards from holiday-themed skins, to sprays, and a title.
New Spectator Mode – This is an effort to facilitate better competitive play. Watch as an observer while two teams battle it out to control the map.
New Practice Mode: Strikeout – Not ready to take on live people? Jump into a match with bots and test out different strategies. See what works best for each situation.
The Rogue Company Arctic Shield update is now out on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Have you played the new update? What do you think of the new map and character? Let me know in the comments!
