That tease came in the form of another tweet, a video slowly zooming up to Jones sat at a computer. As the video winds down, he is revealed to be sporting a blue mohawk, one just like Rogue sports in the comic.
Rogue Trooper is a sci-fi comic strip that follows the adventures of Rogue, a genetically enhanced super soldier, on Nu-Earth, a planet which has been poisoned through biological and chemical warfare between the Southers and the fascist Norts. The Genetic Infantryman eventually goes AWOL in order to hunt down the man that massacred Rogue’s entire G.I. Regiment, The Traitor General.
Jones is best known for his work directing the 2009 sci-fi movie Moon, which was heralded by fans and critics alike. NASA’s Space Center Houston even screen the film as part of a lecture. More recently, he directed the movie adaption of World of Warcraft, simply titled Warcraft, and a spiritual successor to Moon, called Mute, which aired on Netflix.
Little is known regarding the film other than that Jones will be directing it. Be sure to stay tuned to the site for more updates, as you can be sure that Jones is nowhere near done teasing Rogue Trooper.
