Nitro Kid Demo and Trailer Announcement
Nitro Kid is a brand new roguelike deck builder by developer Wildboy Studios and published by tinyBuild, also known for publishing Graveyard Keeper and the Hello Neighbor series. The Nitro Kid trailer debuted during the PC Gaming Show 2022 showcase.
After a colossal crystal meteorite strikes New Mexico, resulting in acute radiation and the killing off of all adults, Megacorp INFINITY steps in by confining the surviving children and transforming them into super-soldiers known as NITRO KIDs.
Players will join the protagonist, L33, as he fights to liberate the NITRO KIDs by battling robots, humans, and hardened mutants. They craft a deck of more than 250 cards based on kung fu and espionage techniques, unlock new playable characters with distinctive gameplay styles and exclusive card sets, and dive into a world inspired by neon cyberpunk and ‘80s movies in retro-style Miami, complete with a synth-wave soundtrack.
Patric Corletto, CEO at Wildboy Studio, said in a press release:
“We’ve seen a massive resurgence in popularity for all things 80s for the past few years, with the sequel for Top Gun breaking box office records, Stranger Things hitting new benchmarks for Netflix, and so much more.”
The official demo is available until the Steam Next Fest this June, with a full release on Windows PC via Steam later this year.
