It’s insane to think that next month, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will be 16 years old. That game may be incredibly aged now, but it was revolutionary when it comes to management simulator games. I was very young at the time, but that’s a name that I remember being used extensively at the time. You don’t see many great rollercoaster games these days, though a few great ones pop up now and again. With that being said, it’s time for fans of the series and newcomers to return to the coaster building goodness. RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition is now available on PC and Switch, updating the game to be much better in modern-day. You can find the Nintendo Switch launch trailer below.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition takes the awesome rollercoaster builder to new heights. It takes the immense depth and enjoyment offered by the original and improves it to be more in line with today’s standards. There are higher definition visuals, widescreen support, and a completely new control scheme for the game. While you shouldn’t go in expecting the most beautiful game to release, it looks a lot better for modern-day. That, combined with vastly improved controls to make building that much easier, makes this a great rerelease of a classic.
If you’re interested in trying RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Complete Edition, you’re in luck. It’s now available on the Epic Games Store as this week’s free title. Be sure to jump on and claim it while it’s free. Nintendo Switch players still have to pay regular price, but it’ll be worth every penny. That’s especially true, given RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 comes with all DLC released for the game. It’s one package of endless fun, free of charge for PC players.
