The latest twist from director M. Night Shyamalan is not much of a twist at all. According to an exclusive report from Deadline, Shyamalan will reunite with actor Rupert Grint on his upcoming thriller, Knock at the Cabin. Grint is joining an already stellar cast for the project, which includes Dave Bautista and Nikki Amuka-Bird. So far, not much is known about the plot of the film, which was written by Shyamalan. Until a trailer is released, audiences will just have to wait for Knock at the Cabin to be released by Universal Pictures on February 3rd, 2023.
Knock at the Cabin is the latest movie by M. Night Shyamalan. It follows on the heels of Old, which was released this past summer. Old was Shyamalan’s sixth movie to open at number one at the box office and brought in around $90 million at the global box office.
M. Night Shyamalan’s Knock at the Cabin will also serve as more than just a movie; it will be a reunion for Shyamalan and Rupert Grint. Previously, the two worked together on the Apple TV+ series Servant, which features Grint as one of the stars and Shyamalan as the showrunner. Grint’s performance on Servant was praised by critics, earning him a 2021 Hollywood Critics award for “Best Supporting Actor in a Streaming Series, Drama.”
Knock at the Cabin will also serve as a reunion project for M. Night Shyamalan and Nikki Amuka-Bird, who appeared in his latest movie, Old. Amuka-Bird is currently starring in Armando Lannucci’s space comedy on HBO, Avenue 5. However, she also recently appeared in the BBC One drama, Gold Digger, and the BBC drama adaptation of Zadie Smith’s book, NW. Her performance in NW earned her a BAFTA award for Best Leading Actress in 2017.
