Rust Console Edition has today launched its April 7 update on all console platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Today’s update, compared to an imminent PC update (expect something from us on it shortly), doesn’t have much to talk about. Just like today’s Lost Ark update, it’s merely three bug fix notes that seek to fix some of the more annoying aspects of the game. While that means logging on won’t result in you finding anything spectacular, having some additional bugs be taken care of is never a bad thing to see. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Rust Console Edition in its April 7 update!
Rust Console Edition April 7 Update Patch Notes
Fixed a prominent crash that could occur when respawning.
Fixed FOV not correctly adjusting when aiming.
Reduced the size of the reticle on the Holosight weapon attachment, according to players feedback.
As you can see, there isn’t that much to talk about here. The first fix admittedly is very nice, as dying into a complete crash can be incredibly frustrating to run into no matter what it is you died to. The second fix seems fairly detrimental as well, as your FOV not changing properly when aiming could likely make the difference between a won and lost fight with another player. And while not as frustrating, having the reticle size changed on the Holosight is a nice little change to see as well. Having changes made in response to player feedback will always be excellent, so it’s good to see Facepunch continue that. As said, today’s update is minor but the fixes that are there are quite nice.
