Rust Console Edition has today launched its 1.24 update/hotfix on all platforms, so here’s the full list of changes and fixes with this patch. Today’s update doesn’t bring fans of the game any new content, unfortunately, instead opting to be a hotfix focused on fixing various bugs plaguing the game. As per usual, this isn’t a bad thing as more fixes are always nice. It just means you shouldn’t go in expecting your experience with the game to be any different. Given that there was a mini-content update last week though, I doubt anyone is complaining. Without further adieu, here’s everything new with Rust Console Edition in its 1.24 update!
Rust Console Edition Update 1.24 Patch Notes
-
Fixed visual issues and z-fighting in the Airfield tunnels.
-
Fixed some railings at the Launch Site not having any collision.
-
Fixed a spot in one of the Launch Site buildings where you could get stuck.
-
Fixed the manual door override not working at the Water Treatment Plant.
-
Fixed broken metal beams at the Water Treatment Plant disappearing when viewed from certain angles.
-
Fixed bullet holes not appearing on pallet boxes.
-
Fixed texture and view distance issues with the generators on top of some buildings.
-
Fixed some usable items losing their texture from a distance.
Like said, there isn’t much here to talk about. In terms of highlights towards specific notes though, the Launch Site and Water Treatment Plant seem to have been the main areas of contention this week. A lot of collision-based issues would’ve caused problems for those heading through that region. Having those fixed, while minor, is nice since you should be able to head through those locations without as much issue now. Having other visual issues fixed, while minor, is also nice.
Rust Console Edition is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. For more information regarding this update, check out the official website.
