If you know me, you know I’m a huge fan of ScourgeBringer. Its hack and slash mayhem combined with fast-paced movement and roguelike style make for a very compelling title. One of the few issues I have with the game is the amount of content, but that changes today. Developer Flying Oak Games and publisher Dear Villagers are happy to announce that ScourgeBringer’s final pre-launch update is out today. It’s known as The Old World and introduces plenty of new content for players. You can get a taste of it through the new trailer below.
ScourgeBringer’s biggest change is its new realm, aptly named The Old World. It takes on a ruined world aesthetic, with destroyed fences littered throughout. It wouldn’t be a new realm though without some more foes, and these are looking harder to defeat than anything encountered before. We won’t spoil it here, but you’ll be investing significant time into understanding and abusing attacks to your advantage. Alongside this is a new skill branch, revamped skills, more difficulty options, achievements, and much more! This is a big ScourgeBringer update, bringing a lot of content that players should quickly fall in love with.
If you haven’t heard of ScourgeBringer until now, you’re missing out on an awesome game. ScourgeBringer puts you in the shoes of Khyra, a girl destined to redeem humanity from its near extinction. You must move through various zones, discovering the secrets of Khyra’s past and why humanity originally fell. Aided by your blade and gun, make your way through and possibly redeem the fate of humanity. If this sounds intriguing to you, the game is currently available on PC. Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions will come later this year with the full launch.
