Earlier today, I was talking about a recently released co-op game known as Embr. It’s one of the many indie co-op games out there that truly brings many laughs to its players. While this game isn’t necessarily filled with laughs, its carnage and chaos are sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. This title is Second Extinction, a co-op dinosaur slayer from indie developer Systemic Reaction. This one’s only been in Early Access for a month, but today is happy to release its first update bringing a new layer of difficulty to the game. You can check out the teaser for this new difficulty below.
This new Insane difficulty update promises to bring a true challenge only masters of Second Extinction can conquer. You’ll need to be on your toes constantly, gunning down opponents whenever possible. One wrong move could lead to you and your squad’s downfall, so you’ll need to make use of quick thinking and strategy to survive. For those who brave this new challenge and survive, you can score yourself some legendary cosmetics and increased research for future adventures. If you’re looking for high risk, high reward adventures, Insane difficulty is the way to go.
For those unaware of what Second Extinction has to offer, allow me to explain. Second Extinction pits you and up to two friends against vast hordes of dinosaurs throughout Earth’s apocalyptic wasteland. You’ll gear up using a wide variety of weapons and enter the fray, stopping at nothing to put an end to the dino threat. All of this in a quest to begin a second extinction of the dinosaurs and save the human race from their own extinction. The game offers a lot so far, but the developers promise plenty of content throughout Early Access.
