Sifu is a new reaction-based, stylish action game from developer Sloclap, whose name is well-known in the gaming industry and community as the developer of Absolver. In this game, you follow a young kung fu warrior on a path of revenge. With no allies and countless enemies, you will have to rely on your martial prowess to prevail and preserve the warrior’s legacy. Sifu was launched to the PS4, PS5, and PC through Epic Games Store on February 8, 2022, but fans are now asking whether the game will come to the Xbox family of consoles as well or not.
Will Sloclap Release Sifu for Xbox?
In Sifu‘s first reveal announcement, Sloclap did not mention anything about an Xbox version of the game. The game is solely released for PlayStation and PC. However, when asked by a Reddit user LoFiChillin, the developer said that Sifu is a “timed-limited exclusive” and could be coming to Xbox in the near future. It’s not clear if this means the company is also planning for a PC Steam release. Here’s the full quote from Sloclap’s response to the Reddit user’s question:
“The exclusivity is time limited, but our entire team is currently focusing solely on the PlayStation and Epic versions of Sifu for launch on February 8!
Keep following our social channels for news and updates on the matter!”
The developer’s previous hit, Absolver, was also released only for PS4 and PC through Steam on August 29, 2017. Two years later, Xbox One players can finally join in on the fun when Sloclap launched the game for the console on January 7, 2019. While Sloclap has yet to say when they will launch Sifu for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, let’s hope Sifu‘s time-limited PlayStation exclusivity deal won’t take as long as Absolver.
