New Smash Bros., new Amiibo figures. Ridley and Inkling were unveiled at E3 this year, along with Daisy. We now have a release date for Inkling and Ridley, along with Fox McCloud’s nemesis, Wolf. The three new Amiibo will hit shelves alongside Smash Bros. Ultimate on December 7 this year and will go for $16 each, about $3 above the usual Amiibo price.
Ridley, Inkling and Wolf are coming to the Super Smash Bros. series of #amiibo! These amiibo will arrive 12/7 and will retail for $15.99.

Well you can see why Ridley’s price has been bumped up, and Wolf looks to have more detail to him than some of the other Smash figures we’ve seen. Now here’s what we don’t know yet: whether or not there will be an Inkling Boy version, and when the Daisy figure is coming out.
The tweet also promises that the original Smash Bros. Amiibo line will get re-prints, allowing collectors a second shot at getting their hands on the ones they’re missing, and at the standard $13 retail price. And while it says “many” of them, all of them will be re-released in Japan, meaning there’s a chance for the same to happen here as well.
And by the way, relax people, yes there will be Snake and Pichu and Ice Climber Amiibos. It’s Smash Bros., of course there will be. More than likely they’ll be bunched in with the re-release waves, which start later this year. It’s unlikely they precede the game itself, so that paints a probable window of… Christmas.
For those of you looking to beat the scalpers (which should be all of you who plan to buy any Amiibo ever), pre-orders are up on Best Buy for Ridley and Inkling. And speaking of Inkling, the Octoling Splatoon 2 Amiibo 3-pack is also up there for pre-order. Get while the getting is good, and stay off the hoo – wait, this is still a Smash-centric article. Okay, um… yeah, I have nothing for an outro.
