Polyarc has announced that the much-anticipated Moss: Book II will release in early 2022. Since Moss‘ initial release in 2018, fans have been eagerly awaiting a sequel, and it was announced earlier this year during the Sony State of Play event.
The sequel will pick up right where the first game left off per Sony’s official announcement.
Quill is back! In Moss: Book II, the story picks up right where things left off following the successful rescue of Quill’s uncle Argus. Your adventure continues with the revelation that a winged tyrant leading the Arcane forces has turned its focus on Quill and is now on the hunt for her within the hexed castle where her uncle was held captive. Lined with dangerous terrain, challenging puzzles, and enemies twisted in fire and steel, Quill’s journey will be trying—filled with triumph and heartbreak alike—but new allies, old friends, and the very nature of the castle itself can help as she works to save the world from a great unmaking.”
Earlier this year, Polyarc design director Josh Stiksma commented on what fans can expect in Moss: Book II. “One of the biggest bits of feedback that we had was that players wanted more… They wanted more time with Quill, so this game is going to be larger.”
Moss: Book II is set to release sometime in Spring 2022. Originally released for PlayStation VR, Moss is now available on Steam, Oculus Quest, and Oculus Rift. There is plenty of time to experience the magic of Moss before the sequel’s release! Check out The Nerd Stash’s review of it here.
