The PlayStation Showcase took place on May 24, 2023, and it brought fresh news on a game they haven’t heard of for some time: Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Following Insomniac Games’ confirmation earlier this week that the game is single-player only, we finally got another look at it via a trailer that showcased new gameplay.

The sequel game is introducing many new mechanics that weren’t in the past games. Both Miles Morales and Peter Parker will have a new feature of Web Wings which allows them to fly through New York City without slinging webs. While we don’t have a symbiote for both Spider-Men (only Peter Parker), both characters will have skill trees to get better combat mechanisms.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PS5 also looks set to deliver another incredible story-driven experience. Today’s trailer showcases black-suit Spider-Man, who is also known as Symbiote Spider-Man. Not only will we get to see the Symbiote Peter Parker, but also Miles Morales’ Spider-Man as well. It will be interesting to see both fighting crime alongside each other in the upcoming game.
While we had a long trailer showing us a lot of conversation between both Spider-Men and them working together, fans are already craving more. The cutscenes in the gameplay show us so many similarities to the older Spider-Man games we know and love while putting a new spin on them. The trailer didn’t show us other suits or variants if there are any other than the two Spider-Men, but hopefully, we’ll see some more.
Spider-Man will be swinging back to the PS5 this coming fall and bringing his friend Mlies Morelas as well. For now, it is undetermined when the PC port of the game will release. Those who wish to buy Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be able to buy it for PS5 this fall.
