After its world premiere, Spider-Man: No Way Home holds a 100% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes. The highly-anticipated upcoming MCU entry debuts this week and both fans and critics are excited to see Tom Holland’s next adventure as Spider-Man. Typically, a 100% score from critics breaks quickly, however, there are currently 54 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and it’s still perfect. There is a limited number of movies that have a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes from critics. This includes Singin’ in the Rain, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and 12 Angry Men.
It’s important to remember that this doesn’t mean No Way Home is a perfect movie. It simply means that out of the 54 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, critics are giving No Way Home a fresh rating, which is a 6 or above. Some of the reviews do have criticisms of it, despite enjoying the movie overall.
Brian Tallerico from RogerEbert.com wrote in his review that “No Way Home is crowded, but it’s also surprisingly spry, inventive, and just purely entertaining.”
However, a majority of critics have nothing but praise for No Way Home, calling it one of Marvel’s best. Critics are also saying that anyone can enjoy this movie, however, fans who have seen every Spider-Man movie will get a kick out of this.
Sean Mulvihill from FanboyNation.com wrote, “With the burden of intense internet hype surrounding the film, Spider-Man: No Way Home delivers the goods with an entertaining journey that thoughtfully honors the past two decades of Spider-Man on the silver screen.”
No Way Home does have a lot of expectations placed on it, especially with the endless amount of fan theories and rumors thrown at it by the internet. The trailers have confirmed some theories, but have left others unanswered. Spider-Man: No Way Home will certainly deliver at the box office but it will be interesting to see how fans react to it. However, these early reviews from critics suggest that this will be one of the best Spider-Man film entries and maybe the best of the Holland outings.
No Way Home releases in theaters on December 17.
