Like a comic brought to life. Peter is not the only Spider-Man in this universe.
Sony Pictures Entertainment has officially revealed a new trailer for Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse. This animated version will follow young Miles Morales discovering he has the same powers as the web-headed slinger. The trailer shows the comic book inspired animated style that the movie will embrace.
“With great power, comes great responsibility.”
Uncle Ben’s famous phrase is about to become something Peter will teach his young apprentice. However, not before they stop for a hamburger and Peter asks Miles if he has some money. Here Peter is not the usual kid we are accustomed to seeing. He is still broke, but this time he is with experience. Peter has a gruff appearance, and his voice hears as if he is tired. He might be tired, but his heroism is always there to be seen. We see Spider-Man from Miles perspective before he saves him from a fatal attack. After discovering his powers, we get to see glimpses of the challenges Morales will have to face. Including having to face his father, who is a cop that is not so friendly with Spider-Man himself.
Marvel’s reboot of Spider-Man in the cinematic universe with Spider-Man: Homecoming, the most recent incarnation of our friendly neighborhood was a success. Here we follow a young Peter Parker, who already has embraced his powers. This is different from Tobey’s or Garfield’s version of him.
If you are not yet tired of seeing the web-headed slinger, you can also expect him in the exclusive PlayStation 4 video game, simply titled Spider-Man. Again, this version of Spider-Man has already been swinging around New York for quite some time. Yet, not as much as the Peter we see in this animated version. The video game will release on September 7 and pre-orders are already live.
We can see Miles Morales take action on Christmas of this year.
