A few days ago, we got news about the huge Expansion Pass that is coming to Splatoon 3. In the latest Nintendo Direct, we saw a lot of DLC content that’s coming to the game including a brand new story that’ll arrive at the end of the expansion pass. Beyond that, today we have an announcement of the next event called Big Run coming to Splatoon 3. Those eager to try something new in this game won’t have to wait long. The event starts next month and will have players defending the Inkblot Art Academy from a Salmonid invasion.
Splatoon 3 Big Run event starts on March 4
From March 4 to March 6, Splatoon 3 players will be able to participate in the Big Run event. This event will have them defend the Art Academy from a Salmonid invasion. Some Nintendo social media accounts have already teased what’s coming to the event. This is great as the game keeps bringing some fresh content to keep players engaged. While the game has already done great commercially, it is, in the end, a game as a live service, and constant updates are required to keep players around.

Splatoon 3 Will Start Its ‘Fresh Season’ in March
While the Expansion Pass might be more than enough to keep users playing, there’s always nice to get some extra content like this. The Big Run event will only last a weekend but that’s enough to do some fun stuff in Splatoon 3. If you haven’t tried the game, we can’t recommend it enough. It improves upon almost everything of its predecessors and the game did amazingly when it launched and keeps doing great so far. With that in mind, you should definitely check the store if you want to buy Splatoon 3 and participate in the Big Run event that’s coming in a few days.
Splatoon 3 is available now on the Nintendo Switch.
