Squid Game star O Yeong-su has been indicted in Korea for sexual misconduct and was released without detention. The 78-year-old was charged in Suwon, which was revealed today, although the charges were brought on a day earlier.
The Golden Globe winner had allegedly touched a woman in 2017. The woman filed against Squid Game star O Yeong-su in December 2021. The case was closed in April and then reopened, as requested by the victim. The actor denied the allegations, as his story was that he held her hand around a lake and apologized, with no admission of guilt.
Upon the allegations against Squid Game star O Yeong-su, Netflix has not responded or taken any actions regarding the popular series. The Korean ministry of culture pulled a commercial about regulatory innovation that featured the actor.

Its success led to awards, viewership that made it into a global phenomenon, a second season to be green-lit, and the green light for a reality series that takes the concept with the exception of murder and carnage.
O Yeong-su, like his co-stars, struck gold with Squid Game. He had been acting for over 50 years across TV, movies, and stage productions. His Golden Globe-winning role was Oh Il-nam, the oldest contestant in the game with a mysterious background. He starred with Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Hoyeon, Wi Ha-joon, Heo Sung-tae, Anupam Tripathi, Greg Chun, Rama Vallury, Kim Joo-Ryung, and Paul Nakuchi.
