The critically acclaimed galaxy adventure Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order has been given a next-gen touch-up for the Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5.
Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm released a blog post via the EA website detailing the patch notes for Jedi: Fallen Order. The update’s sole purpose is to graphically enhance the game for the next generation of consoles. No new story or mission features are included.
Next-Gen Optimization Specifics for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Here’s the full run-down of the recent update notes for Jedi: Fallen Order:
- Xbox Series S
-Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up previously from 45 FPS) - Xbox Series X (Performance Mode)
-Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS
-Dynamic resolution added in the range of 1080p to 1440p - Xbox Series X (Normal Mode)
-Postprocessing has been increased to 4K
-Dynamic resolution in the range of 1512p to 2160p - PlayStation 5
-Framerate has been increased to 60 FPS (up previously from 45 FPS)
-Postprocessing increased to 1440p
-Dynamic resolution has been disabled and the game is rendering at 1200p (up from 810-1080p)
These graphical amplifications will surely heighten nearly every aspect of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Not only does it comes with an improved framerate, but the general rendering will run much more smoothly once the latest update is installed. The aforesaid update is available now for download.
Originally released back on November 15, 2019, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order tells the epic odyssey of Cal Kestis, a Jedi who’s on the run from both the Galactic Empire and his past. The game was positively well-received by fans and critics. It is also currently included in the EA Play game subscription service, which runs for $5 a month. Xbox players already have instant access to EA Play if they have an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, which means you can play the next-gen optimized Jedi: Fallen Order as soon as you want to.
