Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is back, and Cal Kestis makes a return but with a lot more visual customizability this time around. The game ups the quality of its predecessor in many ways, including the engaging storyline, snappy combat, and open level design, but it seems that numerous technical problems in the game are hindering the experience, particularly for PC players. Many players have reported experiencing error messages that don’t even explain the problem, and even when the game runs, it often does not perform well. These bugs can range from annoying, to downright game-breaking, the latter being the recent discovery by a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor player.
The major design flaw just discovered traps Cal in a specific area of the game with no way out. According to GamesRadar, players need to meditate at a specific point after completing the chamber of duality to avoid being trapped permanently with no exit. If the player dies without saving the game at this point, they will be stuck in the chamber indefinitely, with no way to escape. The only solution would be to restart the entire game from the beginning. Something that would annoy the biggest Star Wars Jedi: Survivor fan.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Game-Breaking Bug Traps Cal Permanently
Some may not want to save the game since it follows the Souls-like mechanic of respawning enemies if you save. Interacting with the meditation spots without saving the game will still provide a checkpoint, which is a godsend in such a buggy game.
This is a significant misstep by the developers, and it should be addressed as soon as possible with an update. Respawn has already apologized for the plethora of bugs present in the PC version of the game. The team is currently working to fix the problem, which seems to affect high-end PCs with multi-threaded chipsets and high-end GPUs. Having a PC that is too powerful is quite a problem to have.
