Daniels (Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan) and the directors of Everything Everywhere All at Once are working on a Disney+ Star Wars series called Skeleton Crew. It began production last summer and finished filming in the last couple of months. Few details have been shared on the Disney+ Star Wars series. Even though Daniels is involved in the project, it’s unknown how involved they are. Scheinert Daniel Kwan could be directing the whole season or just one episode of Skeleton Crew. The Disney+ series will star Jude Law and was created by Jon Watts. It’s about a group of kids lost in the galaxy, trying to find their way home. The series is set in the New Republic era. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are executive producers of the project. There will be many more big projects offered to Daniels after their Oscars sweep.
Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan Have Gone from Low Budget to Big Budge Projects
Daniels first caught critics’ attention with their feature film debut Swiss Army Man. It’s a quirky film about a man marooned on an island (Paul Dano) that makes friends with a corpse (Daniel Radcliffe). Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan wrote the screenplay for the film as well. It was by no means an indie film since it had a $3 million budget. They had a much larger budget for their film Everything Everywhere All at Once. Daniel Scheinert and Daniel Kwan started their careers directing music videos and short films, but they are in the big leagues now. Not every director gets a chance to be a part of the Star Wars universe, but Daniels do with this upcoming Disney+ series Skeleton Crew. They are now attached to one of the most globally recognized film franchises.
In addition to the Disney+ series Skeleton Crew, Daniels have a five-year deal with Universal.
