Announced today, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is arriving to the Nintendo Switch made public during the Nintendo Direct event, on April 20th, 2022. This version of the game will be a port of the Nintendo Wii version and utilize the JoyCon motion controls.
Initially released in 2008 on various consoles, the game returns to consoles letting players go back into the Star Wars universe. Meet iconic characters, travel to iconic planets, and once again experience the conflict within the Star Wars universe. In addition, relive all the best moments from the previously released game.
Saving or conquering the galaxy in The Force Unleashed
Players can now again step back into the shoes of Galen, aka Starkiller, Lord Darth Vader’s secret apprentice. Tasked to hunt down the remaining Jedi, players will help Starkiller make a universe-changing decision. Will these decisions take him toward the dark or light side of the force?
Using only a lightsaber and the Force, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed displays visceral use of these tools that Starkiller has at his disposal. In an attempt to end the Jedi and overthrow the empower, will Lord Vader’s plans come to fruition? Or will Starkiller change his ways and move to a different outcome?
The Wii version of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed also includes unique modes like the two-player duels between iconic Jedi and Sith characters. While EA had initially overseen previous Star Wars games, Quantic Dream developed the Nintendo Switch release.
