StayAtHome is a new hashtag making the rounds on the Twittersphere and many other places. With so much being affected by Covid-19, it seems a logical decision to recommend staying home. For self-proclaimed gamers, there likely isn’t a lot to change. Because people are staying home it leaves them with loads of free time. And this free time is something many publishers are capitalizing on.
Many of today’s popular battle royale games are feeling the strain. The Call of Duty series has also released their own version, complete with its own few problems. But if you’re looking for something a little different with a humorous twist, you can always try your hand at Goat of Duty while you StayAtHome. You might be unfamiliar with the title, but if you’re a regular to the Steam platform, you’ll soon become familiar.
Instead of your traditional soldiers decked out in olive camouflage, you’ll fight against other players as a goat with a cybernetic arm. That’s right, you play as a goat and shoot at people with a shoulder-mounted arm. It isn’t the usual theme that goes along with multiplayer shooters and for some gamers, but with StayAtHome trending, people might be looking for something new to play. Goat of Duty, at least for the time being, will be free on Steam. Sergio De Benito, head of marketing at Raiser Games, had this to say on it:
Giving people something to do while they’re at home – whether to keep their spirits up or to keep them from heading out – is a genuine priority right now, and publishers can and should do their part when it’s financially viable for them to do so.
Will you be gearing up as a goat? Hurry over to Steam, as the game is only free for a short time on PC.
