The next Steam sale has arrived! Now is the best time to get your deals in before Black Friday hits tomorrow! Of what I can tell on the list, there are many games I will be picking up myself. One of the most interesting titles I can see right now is Frostpunk which we covered a few days ago for their new DLC! A short synopsis for this game is as followed,
“The game is set in an alternate 1886 where the eruptions of Krakatoa and Mount Tambora, the dimming of the Sun, and other unknown factors caused a worldwide volcanic winter. This in turn led to widespread crop failure and the death of millions. This event roughly lines up with the real world 1883 eruption of Krakatoa, a volcanic event that led to global cooling. In response to this, several installations called “generators” were built by the British authorities in the coal-rich North, designed to be city centers in the event that dropping temperatures force mass migration from the south. In all scenarios, the player is the leader of a city around a generator, and will have to manage resources to ensure the city’s survival.”
You can pick up Frostpunk for only $20.09 on steam now! If survival games aren’t your thing, why not try Nier Automata? The description of the game is as followed,
“Nier: Automata[a] is an action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. The game was released for the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows in early 2017, with an Xbox One port later in June 2018. Nier: Automata is a sequel to the 2010 video game NieR, a spin-off sequel of the Drakengard series. Set in the midst of a proxy war between machines created by otherworldly invaders and the remnants of humanity, the story follows the battles of a combat android, her companion, and a fugitive prototype. Gameplay combines role-playing elements with action-based combat and mixed genre gameplay similar to that of Nier.”
Personally, it was one of my favorite games of 2017, and with a low price of $30, it is hard to pass up. Plus, who doesn’t love 2B? The game now runs amazingly on Steam, so there’s no reason not to pick it up!
