The fans are joyful to have an early look at their favorite Jim Hopper and Eleven’s cards. Similarly, The Stranger Things collaboration marks another big-name for MtG. It was followed by the likes of Dungeons and Dragons and The Walking Dead. Stranger Things’ Jim Hopper and Eleven are both legendary creatures featured with ‘Friends Forever’ ability. It allows you to use them to lead a Commander deck.
Stranger Things’ Jim Hopper and Eleven Cards
The first look of these cards shows the Human Soldier Chief Jim Hopper investigating the attack with “Menace”. On the other hand, Human Wizard Eleven allows users a maximum hand size of eleven. However, The Stranger Things Secret Lair has eight unique cards. The set will release alongside six Secret Lairs as part of Magic’s “October Superdrop”, which kicks off pre-orders from October 18, 2021. Stranger Things is one of the popular series on Netflix. It comes under the horror drama genre, and it started back in the year 2016. The show’s popularity has ensured its stories and many characters appeared in multiple games over the years including the title Stranger Things 3: The Game and Dead by Daylight.
Wizards of the Coast’s collaboration with The Stranger Things Secret Lair is not the first crossover with the TV Show, and fans of Magic: The Gathering can’t seem to get enough content with shows like The Walking Dead, and expectations are high for the success of the new Stranger Things cards.
However, according to WotC, The Walking Dead was the best Secret Lair in terms of sales. Fans were delighted by watching the tie-ins. Similarly, new players are added from The Walking Dead proved the crossovers can bring in. However, it seems to be a dilution of Magic’s world as the number of new sets increases.
