Famous Street Fighter producer, Yoshinoro Ono would be interested in putting Capcom’s roster of characters against Nintendo’s in a new fighting game.

In an interview with Streetpass UK during a recent Street Fighter V event, Ono said that he’d love to see a crossover title between Nintendo and Capcom in the same vein as Marvel vs. Capcom. Nintendo and Capcom recently worked together to put Mega Man and Street Fighter’s Ryu in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
Smash Bros. has always done a fantastic job of showing off Nintendo’s diverse roster of characters and Capcom has a slew of famous characters under its protection such as Mega Man, Phoenix Wright, Dante, Okami and dozens of fighting game characters.
We have absolutely no idea what form this type of game would take, but a crossover of two of the largest names in gaming under the direction Yoshinoro Ono sounds like a dream come true.
Ryu was added into Smash Bros. late last year, but the waterfall punching martial arts master made the transition to Smash Bros. vertical gameplay beautifully. He also made his triumphant return to consoles in Street Fighter V, which released in February.
