PlayStation Showcase 2023 brought many surprises. We saw the Metal Gear Solid Classic Collection for PS5 and the magnificent Spiderman 2 trailer. This event also came with the official release date of Alan Wake 2 and the gameplay reveal trailer. It was fantastic news, but it left us with more questions than answers regarding its story. The Summer Game Fest of 2023 will take the spotlight in the gaming industry, especially after E3 was canceled because companies like Xbox and Sony have opted to do events alone. With this in mind, many players are excited to see more of Alan Wake 2 at the Summer Game Fest.
From what we could see during the trailer, gamers will be able to take control of a new character named Saga Anderson in the sequel. Saga is an FBI agent who has been sent to the town of the original game to discover the dark secret behind rituals that have taken place in the area. She will also apparently interact with the strange world in which Alan is lost.
