Now there’s no doubt that many of you out there enjoy musicals from time to time, right? And there’s more than enough of you (myself included) who enjoy a great RPG from time to time, yeah? Well, what if I told you those two could come together to form a game that blends these two perfectly? You may not initially believe me, though trust me, you will in but a moment. The team at Summerfall Studios, which includes acclaimed talent such as BioWare veteran David Gaiter, has announced a partnership with Humble Games for their upcoming game Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical! You can check out the teaser trailer for the game below.
Music and Roleplaying in Harmony
Mark Nash, vice president of Humble Games Global Publishing, had the following to say regarding both the team and their project:
We’ve been following the journey of the incredibly talented team at Summerfall Studios for a while now and we’re absolutely thrilled to partner with them to help take Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical over the finish line and put it into the hands of fans all over the globe. Stray Gods is a unique and innovative experience that blends a theatrical musical with a branching RPG narrative, and ultimately personifies exactly the type of games that Humble Games wants to bring into the world.”
Stray Gods follows the footsteps of Grace, a woman who’s had her life thrown a wrench after the Last Muse of ancient Greek Mythology passes away. Before it died though, it granted Grace an incredible gift. Thanks to this, Grace now sees into an otherwise hidden world full of both gods and monsters in a whirlwind of loyalties and betrayals. With this gift in hand, it’s up to you to head on your quest to tell glorious songs and discover the mystery behind the Lost Muse’s death. What the songs bring about though is entirely for you to discover.
Stray Gods: The Roleplaying Musical currently has no release date, but be sure to keep an eye on both Humble Games’ and Summerfall Studios’ social channels for additional information.
