Apple will be delivering a thriller with Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney titled Echo Valley, Variety has reported. It will be written by Brad Ingelsby, the creator of Mare of Easttown, and directed by BAFTA winner Michael Pearce (Beast).
In Echo Valley, Sydney Sweeney will play the daughter of Julianne Moore. The Oscar winner stars as Kate Garrett lives on a secluded, 22-acre farm in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Upon dealing with a personal crisis and coping by training her horses, her routine is disrupted by Claire, her daughter’s arrival. She comes home one night covered in someone else’s blood. The film then will turn into a thriller of a mother protecting her daughter.
Ridley Scott, Ingelsby, Michael Pruss, Tanja Tawadjoh, and Kevin Walsh will produce. Pruss developed the script with the Mare of Easttown creator. Scott Greenberg, Rebecca Feuer, Nicole Jordan-Webber, Erika Olde, and Sam Roseme will serve as executive producers.
Sydney Sweeney and Julianne Moore set to lead in Apple movie Echo Valley
Echo Valley has landed on the plates of Julianne Moore and Sydney Sweeney at a time when they are both quite busy. The Euphoria star has a bikini collaboration, an untitled rom-com with Glen Powell, Madame Web, and Americana. This all comes right when she is blowing up from the Zendaya HBO series, The White Lotus, and Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood. Her co-star recently starred in the Apple movie Sharper. Upcoming, she will be in Mary & George, Mothertrucker, and May December.
The director won a BAFTA for his 2017 mystery film, Beast, which starred Jessie Buckley. Ingelsby found huge success with his HBO limited series. It had won four Emmys for Outstanding Leading Actress (Kate Winslet), Outstanding Supporting Actress (Julianne Nicholson), Outstanding Supporting Actor (Evan Peters), and Outstanding Production Design.
No date has been set for its release.
