Taylor Swift Releases Four New Songs
Taylor only released the four hit songs because she felt it was the right time. On her Instagram Story on Thursday, she noted that she was releasing the songs to celebrate the Eras Tour.Â
“In celebration of The Eras Tour I’m releasing 4 previously unreleased songs tonight at midnight,” the 33-year-old wrote on her Instagram story.
The Eras Tour is to begin on Friday, March 17, hence, the reason for the midnight release.
The four songs she released include Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version) and Safe & Sound (Taylor’s Version). For Safe & Sound, she featured Joy Williams and John Paul White from The Civil Wars. The last two are If This Was a Movie (Taylor’s Version) and  All of the Girls You Loved Before.
When The Songs Were First Composed
Before The Civil Wars split up, Taylor Swift composed and produced Eyes Open and Safe & Sound, featuring Williams and White. The song was originally created for The Hunger Games soundtrack in 2012.
If This Was a Movie had also been previously released. However, it was a bonus track on the deluxe edition of her 2010 album Speak Now.
The song All of the Girls You Loved Before appeared to be the most unique among the four released songs. It has never been heard before.
Before her announcement, Taylor Swift shared some details about the Eras Tour. She shared photos of her from rehearsals as she prepared ahead of the day. “In my Eras era,” she wrote in an Instagram post she made at midday.
Taylor Swift’s four new releases give her fans so much to discuss. They certainly love each of them.
