Today was a big day for Zelda fans. After a very long wait for the sequel to Breath of the Wild, we finally got to see some more in-depth gameplay. This show, while short, was fantastic. We saw many of Link’s new abilities and the sky islands that will arrive when the game launches in May. However, shortly after that, we got official confirmation about something previously rumored. The Nintendo Switch OLED model of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is coming. It finally has a release date and we also have the official images of this console. If you don’t have the platform yet, you should wait to get this one.
The Nintendo Switch OLED Model of Tears of the Kingdom will launch on April 28
You’ll be able to get this console exactly one month from now. This is great for those that don’t have a Nintendo Switch or want to upgrade it to the latest OLED model. The design has many things from the upcoming game. We can see the iconic crest from the series as well as some colors resembling the game’s color palette. Besides the OLED Model of Tears of the Kingdom, there are also two more accessories. You’ll be able to buy a Nintendo Pro Controller and a carrying case. All separately of course.

It is important to mention that the game won’t be included with the console. This is normal as the game will launch a few weeks after this console launches. Plus, Nintendo has been following a trend of launching limited edition consoles without games. Something that happened with Splatoon 3. However, this Nintendo Switch OLED model of Tears of the Kingdom looks great, and we think fans of the series should get it. Since we don’t have any news about any new console in the future, this could be a good investment while we wait for the next big Nintendo platform.
