Bad news for fans of the Apple TV+ sports comedy-drama series Ted Lasso, they are moving forward with ending the series. According to Brett Goldstein, who plays Roy Kent in the series, the writers are following through with their initial promise. Season 3 is already in production. The co-creators of Ted Lasso, Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, and Bill Lawrence planned on ending the series with three seasons at the start. Jason gave hope to fans last June, saying, “The story that’s being told — that three-season arc — is the one that I see, know, and understood. As far as what happens after that, who knows? I don’t know.” He, of course, stars as the titular character and has the final say on whether or not the Apple TV+ sports comedy-drama will continue. Even if Season 3 is the ending of Ted Lasso, at least fans will get one more season.
