Athlon Games and Telltale Games today launched The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition. The Batman: The Telltale Series has been revamped, from it’s graphics to neo-noir style DLC.
It is available for purchase on Xbox One and Steam. It’ll be further available for Playstation 4 on December 20. An Epic store and Nintendo Switch release is unconfirmed but predicted for a point in the future, for $29.99.
For Batman players who own the base game, they can add the stand-alone DLC, Shadows Mode, from $4.99.
Earlier in the year, Athlon and Telltale reached a publishing agreement for five Telltale releases. Among them included Batman 1 & 2 and Wolf Among Us, now available for purchase.
Chief Revenue Officer of LCG Entertainment/Telltale Games, Brian Waddle said,
“We’re excited to be able to build and continue the legacy of an iconic Telltale Games franchise by launching The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition today,”
“This is just the beginning in a much more expansive plan to build on our catalog of Telltale Games titles, which we hope to discuss in further detail in the coming months.”
Featuring infamous allies and villains, a player can return to the streets of Gotham, delving into his damaged mind, and learning the meaning of choices as the Dark Knight.
Back in September, voice actress Melissa Hutchison released a statement regarding Telltale’s closure. As a result, Telltale let their last members of staff go. She described it as “one of the toughest days ever.”
She concluded with, “And it hurts to know that long-awaited titles like a second season of The Wolf Among Us won’t be made.”
