What Will Tequila Works Create After Tencent’s Majority Stakeholder Purchase?
While the title Tequila Works has made for Tencent has yet to release, the studio has made lasting impressions. Transforming the icy League of Legends world into something brand new is captivating. Similar to Airship Syndicate’s Ruined King title last year, the side game allows players to explore and interact with the lore. Seeing how players enjoy the deep parts of League of Legends lore, games dedicated to that end is perfect. With Tequila Works being able to work full time on new IPs, there’s certainly a future for them outside of League of Legends. Yet, while Tencent does make investments into new studios, they also like to hold their assets tight. Whether this means there will be another League of Legends side game soon, Tequila Works certainly has the right aptitude for it.
