When Terminator: Resistance first released, it was an opportunity to show a new perspective. Developed by Teyon and published by Reef Entertainment, it told a story we hadn’t seen much of: the Future War. The conflict between humans and the malevolent cyber-intelligence known as Skynet. Terminator: Salvation showed us what the future looked like when Kyle Reese was sent back. This game gives fans of the series an in-depth look at the war between humans and Skynet. Humans are going to win. It is their destiny to do so. But what devastation awaits their future?
Terminator: Resistance Enhanced Gets a Delay
When it first released, the game was met with mixed reviews. All over the world, some had come to the same agreement: it wasn’t full of the action they expected. Once it got to a certain point, Terminator: Resistance was just plain boring for some. For others, certain mechanics didn’t work the way they ought to. But it is getting a now-delayed revamp in the form of Terminator: Resistance Enhanced.
This new version of the game will come with a few goodies. PS4 owners will receive a free upgrade when playing on PlayStation 5. Both the PS5 and PC versions will also receive a new campaign mode. In addition, Resistance players can try out a mode called Infiltrator, where you can explore and fight as one of Skynet’s many robots. Later on, developers will also be adding paid DLC.
Currently, the Enhanced version of Terminator: Resistance has only been announced for PS5 and PC. There is no word on if the Enhanced version will come to Xbox current or next-gen consoles. A new release has been set for April 30th, 2021. For now, gamers can try out the original version on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or PC.
