The characters you come across within The Ascent range from somewhat normal to absolutely corrupt. Some are working for a living, some chase dark pleasures. Right in the middle is Atticus, a buffed out weightlifter who is ashamed to see such weak folks at the gym. Speaking with him will trigger a side quest where he’ll task you with picking up some steroids. But how exactly do you complete his side mission, “Anabolic Express”? Who’s got the drugs? Keep reading to see how you can quickly finish up Atticus’ Anabolic Express Side Mission when you meet him in Cluster 13 in The Ascent.
How to Complete the Anabolic Express Mission in The Ascent
To complete the Side Mission for Atticus, follow his instructions on going to the Node for a meet-up. Adhere to your map and objective finder, and you’ll eventually reach Merle, who will hand you the chemical boosters. Tread carefully, for Turbo Thugs are running amok, so you’ll most likely run into some trouble. But once you get the boosters, return to Cluster 13 to link up with Atticus, who is watching over the amateurs struggling with weights. Finally, speak with Atticus to give him the items, and you’ll be rewarded for your efforts; specifically, you’ll receive 8,000 uCreds and 4,000 XP.
Good ole Atticus is looking to fetch some “chemical enhancers” for the boys at the gym. Thing is, these weaklings want results really soon as opposed to months of pain and gain. Speaking with Atticus will trigger the Anabolic Express mission, but once you’re done, make sure you go back to him. You’ll notice the NPC Side Mission icon over him, hinting at another quest. Speak with him, and another Side Mission will commence: One More Rep. Completing this mission will also involve Merle but at a different location for this drug run.
If you need a hand in handling the Turbo Thugs, keep in mind that cover is your best ally if you’re playing solo. Your friends will obviously join in on the fight if an online session is in order, but you will need to think of cover like it’s a priority for your survival. The game allows you to raise your weapon, behind cover or not. So, it would be in your best interest to cheat the battlefield with blind firing. They do use the same tactic, but they’ll eventually pop out. It’s especially helpful when no health packs are around, so blind firing is the way to go if you need to proceed.
The Ascent is available now for the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
