Amazon is going all in on its superhero franchise as it develops The Boys college spinoff, the second spinoff series for The Boys as it released the animated anthology Diabolical. In a video posted on Twitter, the cast of the next series announced its title, Gen V, a play on the names of different generations like Gen Z with a twist of Compound V, the manufactured drug that gives people superpowers.
The Boys college spinoff will take its idea of conceited, maniacal superheroes with the recklessness of young people. Its new cast of supes will be Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Patrick Schwarzenegger (The Staircase), Lizze Broadway (Here and Now), Chance Perdomo (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), London Thor (Shameless), Asa Germann (Caviar), Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters), and Derek Luh (Shining Vale).

In the video, the cast teases what’s to come. For fans, they will expect similar levels of extreme violence, humor, and on-the-nose commentary. Germann emphasizes how it will meet the bar set by the original series. Broadway adds that it will be a “roller coaster.” Sinclaire said Gen V would have romance and deep relationships while talking about the action. Perdomo puts it best as he said it is “f—ed up” and that we will like it, which if you’re a fan of the first series, then it sounds like you will be a fan of this one too.
When it comes to the cast of The Boys college spinoff, no confirmation has been made if any characters from the main series will make an appearance in Gen V. When asked in the replies of the tweets from a fan, the official account for the show said that it was “classified.”
Marvel’s Agent Carter and Kevin (Probably) Saves The World’s Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will act as showrunners for The Boys college spinoff. The two executive produce with The Boys’ creator Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and comic book series writer Garth Ennis.
