In a new effort to further market the impending release of Spider-Man: No Way Home, a Daily Bugle newsstand has taken up space in Manhattan, New York City. With only a limited set of exclusive newspapers from The Daily Bugle, bystanders can stop by to check out the site in the city. Supplies are limited, but the pop-up will remain standing for the time being – potentially near the film’s release.
Peter Parker is Infamous in New Daily Bugle Pop-Up
The Daily Bugle is Spider-Man’s ultimate literary nemesis in the comic book world. Ran by J. Jonah Jameson, the infamous tabloid newspaper is known for painting the web-slinger as a menace, with multiple accusations pointed toward him. The Daily Bugle and Jameson have been staples in the Spider-Man lore ever since.
In recent memory, we’ve seen the popular character on the big screen with J. K. Simmons graciously embracing the role in the Sam Raimi films. Now, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe going into full multiverse throttle, The Daily Bugle is making headlines once again. Ever since the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the newspaper has been calling out the actions of Peter Parker. And with the upcoming launch of Spider-Man: No Way Home, fans will get to experience a piece of the tabloids. J. K. Simmons will also be reprising his role in the new film, albeit with a new look:
You know what, I think it’s a slightly different version. Certainly, from the creators of the current iteration of the story, it’s a very different character. To me, it’s a slightly different character. It’s the same blowhard; the same guy with less hair. Honestly, I kinda wish he had the same hair.”
Located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue, is a new pop-up newsstand that is giving away copies of The Daily Bugle and its reports on Spider-Man. While there are only 3,000 copies to give out, eager fans can also pick up the December 10 issue of The New York Post if they miss their chance.
Spider-Man: No Way Home will premiere in theaters this December 17, 2021.
