ComicCon@Home is here, and with it are plenty of exciting announcements surrounding Netflix’s The Dragon Prince. One of the many reveals during the show’s at home panel was The Dragon Prince: Tales of Xadia Roleplaying Game.
The Dragon Prince panel revealed many exciting announcements about the future of the show. From the entire saga being picked up by Netflix, an upcoming art book, to a graphic novel picking up right after season three. The panel consisted of Paula Burrows (Rayla), Jack De Sena (Callum), Sasha Rojen (Ezran), Erik Todd Dellums (Aaravos), Racquel Belmonte (Claudia), Jesse Inocalla (Soren), and Jason Simpson (Viren), and creators of The Dragon Prince, Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond.
I've binged every season of this show the day it comes out with my family – can't wait to make this game!
Here's a slide from the deck I first shared with Wonderstorm that explained why I wanted to explore the world of Xadia so much…to capture this kind of feel at the table! https://t.co/hUKN7AvqBO pic.twitter.com/GWydJLcsa9

The cast spent time talking about the show and diving back into their characters to open the panel. They also performed a scene as their characters roleplaying other characters playing a tabletop roleplaying game. It was similar to Dungeons and Dragons, with Aaravos playing the role as the dungeon master introducing everyone meeting in a tavern. Many took to creating new characters who were rather different from their Dragon Prince personas, like Ezran, who was the groups necromancer. Others like Soren and Viren decided to roleplay what they knew best, themselves. It was a fun glimpse into the world of Xadia and the characters who live in it.

After the scene closed and a dragon crushed the tavern and everyone inside, we got another reveal: The Dragon Prince: Tales of Xadia Roleplaying Game. The TTRPG will use the Cortex system and will “bridge the gap between Season 3 and Season 4 of The Dragon Prince!”
A press release from Fandom Tabletop reveals more about the setting.
Players can explore the ruins of Lux Aurea, try to restore the corrupted Sunforge, and fight to stop the spread of the evil monstrosities it radiates. This off-screen story will come alive in game supplements—as well as in organized play events—prior to Season 4’s release.”
It sounds like a great way to dive deeper into the lore of The Dragon Prince and explore the world with friends, dice, all while sharing and telling a unique story.
Tales of Xadia is set to release in 2021.
