“The Fast & The Furious” is probably one of the best known movie franchises in the world, filled as it is with fast cars, hyped-up soundtracks and both Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel. The “Fast & Furious” movie series, which began all the way back in 2001, is all the way up to its tenth installment – Fast X – which is set to release on May 19th. The franchise has also spawned countless toys and around a dozen video games in the last two decades, but the latest release is going bigger than ever – literally – with “The Fast & The Furious Deluxe Arcade Game,” available now.
Released by Arcade1Up, “The Fast & The Furious Deluxe Arcade Game” is a full-size arcade console that comes with two officially licensed games: the original Fast & Furious, released in 2004, and 2007’s The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. In a first for the franchise, players will be able to use the at-home arcade console to race 8 officially licensed cars – including a Chevy Camaro, Ford Mustang and Mustang GT, Nissan 350Z and Saleen S7 Twin Turbo – on a total of 19 tracks (7 of which are based in Japan). Each car will award players with 24 different upgrade and customization options, making for over 500 customization options available across both games in the Deluxe Arcade Game.

In terms of design, “The Fast & The Furious Deluxe Arcade Game” goes to great lengths to mimic the setup of a real arcade console, including a light-up marquee and fake coin slot. Other features include a 17-inch LCD screen, a 4-speed gear shifter and a rumble wheel, gas pedal and brake pedal to make the experience that much more immersive for players. The new arcade console is currently available for purchase through BestBuy for $599, and reviews have applauded it as “extremely fun” and reminiscent of the arcade experiences of ye olden days in the 80s when arcades were at their height.
