Anyway, the continued adventures of Ellie will release exclusively on the PlayStation 4 on February 2020. Fans of the first game are literally counting down the days, down to the minutes. As are we.
If you are excited about the release you may be interested to take a look at the collectors’ editions that have been announced and are now available to pre-order.
Brace yourself and brace your wallet. Here we go.
Two special editions have been announced. The collectors’ edition and the Ellie edition.
The Collectors Edition will give you the following:
- A 12″ Ellie Statue
- A Life-sized replica of Ellies bracelet
- Custome Steelbook case
- A 48 Page Artbook
- Six enamel pins
- A lithograph art print
- Five Stickers
The collectors’ edition of The Last of Us Part II will retail at a cost of $170. Ouch. The Ellie edition, however, will cost $230. Double ouch. This edition will include all the perks of the collectors along with the following:
- A fully functional replica of Ellie’s backpack (So a backpack, including zippers and everything)
- An embroidered patch
- A 7″ Vinyl record
We all know that vinyl is pretty cool, however, I think I’ll stick to the standard edition, I’m not exactly made of money and with the frankly amazing Death Standing collectors edition PS4 that’s due to release soon I need all the money I can get.
Whatever way you choose to buy and play Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Part II I’m sure we are in for a great and probably emotional time. I cannot wait to see where the game takes us, even if I will be stumping up for the boring standard edition.
Let us know in the comments how excited you are for The Last of Us Part II and let us know what edition you will be picking. I promise not to get too jealous if you decide to pick up one of these collectibles.
Steve is the resident Englishman, just don’t hold that against him. He’s been playing games for the best part of 3 decades and will continue to do so for as long as his thumbs hold up. When they no longer work, he’ll still find a way to play Resident Evil 2. Lover of most things nerdy Steve also likes sports. Go sports!
